A lil about me

Read a few blogs and scanned some of them.. Blame the RC practice :P
Will read once again sometime later and comment..

Anyways!!

I'll not bore you with my "Foramtive years" and "Life at College" for now.. Reserving them for a separate blog. I would tell you with "my struggle" or "the lack of it"  with CAT.

2005-2006->CAT 2005
It started as the IN-Thing to do after 4 yrs of engineering. Joined IMS during my 3rd yr and started attending the classes meticulously. But cometh the final yr and Im " so-called busy" with a lot of activities like being the General Sec of my dept and oraganising the symposium and being and part of the core commitee and hosting the first inter-collegiate (3 days) cultural fest.
Whatever.. CAT prep went for a toss and I got 88 something with a 95+ in DI so u can imagine the other sections.. meanwhile I got placed at Caritor (which later acquired Keane and was hence named Keane)

2006-2007->CAT 2006
Joined the company and was happy earning. CAT application forms were out and I thought I need work-ex before studying (I know I know.. This IT exp is of no use!!). But I felt that I need to STAY IN TOUCH with CAT, so I fill in the forms and attempt again. 83 something with 99.5 in DI.. As earlier others needn't be mentioned.

2007-2008->CAT 2007
Started to get frustu.. Big time!!! I think the reason for CAT aspirants to increase every year is coz of this. Joined IMS test series.. Found Raghu at office and he was an inspiration (Take a bow).. U guys will realise over the 2 years how much he can boost somebody's confidence level. CAT 92 with DI 95, XAT 98 with LRDI 99. Got a WL from XIMB and a ding from IIT M.

2008-present->CAT 2008
FRUSTRATION to max!! wrote GMAT. Joined TIME. Promised myself and everybody who knew about this phase of mine that this is the last CAT. Either I get in with this or use the GMAT scores.. else use the long route into the management line. Got 95 with @#$% DI as 73. Never ever expected my DI to sink like the KKR team. All other exams were clean bowled. No profile call also from SP. Applied to MICA. And on Feb 15 I get a Score based call, so does Raghu. My MICA call gets converted and then I appear for Sp interview.

My round 1 was very good. I had Sivapriya along with me on my panel and Round 2 was kind of ok (Detailed posts on the interviews will follow soon)
Was not expecting a convert in the first list but it happened.. I guess they were in a mood to experiment :)  or maybe it was destiny :)
End to the 3rd Sunday of November! (Now with this online stuff even that is a mismoner) and beggining of the life woth no sundays and some wednesday evenings :)

Little more about me
  1. A Foodie. Like to taste various cuisines. (Mentioned this at my interview and was grilled)
  2. Love to travel a lot. Both trekking and leisure trips. Have covered a little bit of South India. Now waiting to explore the Konkan and Mid-western region
  3. Ideal morning is a hot cuppa with newspaper. (Something im goin to enjoy to the max for next 30 days)
  4. Can't be without sleeping (Each time I hear Life@MBA, my heart skips a beat.
  5. Love to get wet when it rains!!
  6. I dont think much about tomorrow. Live and enjoy today is the motto!

Thats it folks. I'm feling sleepy now(Refer point 4) So adios for now.. Will be back soon
