Motor mouth goes vrrrroooooooooom!

Hi guys, this is varun from Chennai. I am in for Marketing. And here's my profile.
CAT/XAT : 97.56%le and 98.9 %le respectively.
Call :Profile + Score
10th : 88%
12th : 97.5% ( hey that’s my cat percentile too!! Hmmm destiny huh ;)
Grad : 83% in ECE in St.Joseph’s college of engineering
Work Ex : 29 months in CTS Chennai. (shouldn’t this come in achievements?? Or maybe in the company’s annual statement under the wasteful expenditure section :)
Awards and Achievements:

-Consistent top academic scores in school and college ( wink yeah that’s wat I said.. something called top from bottom and vice versa ;)
- Scholarship winner for centum scorer in chemistry in 12th boards ( yes H + 2 O’s = H2O, now this itself looks like alchemy to me…. hmmmm..)
- Member of mast log and other hr initiatives at workplace. (Only work I didJ), and teach india and other csr programmes-
Extra Curriculars:

Now here is the part that’s TRULY ME folks… seriously forgetting the academic (mis)fortunes and work place disasters.. All through school and college life…dam. all my life.. the one thing I have done is talk..talk some more and yes u guessed right – talk even more! Somehow the number of ppl who have bled having to hear me go on n on is a pretty big numberJ… culturals and symposias in school and college were my lifeline… maybe with a motor in my mouth some electricity probs might be solved... ;)...

- Winner of the overall award "MR.TECHOFES" for winning several cultural events at TECHOFES held at Anna University.
- Winner of numerous cultural activities and symposiums in events JAM, Shipwreck, Ad-zap, quiz, Dumb-c, Young Lawyers in many inter collegiate fests right through school and college.(Le Park,Anna univ,Vanavani,RBI,Velammal,SSN,Jeppiar,St.josephs,Madha...to name a few)

- Hosted events (MC) and was invited as judge for college and school level cultural events
- Was the captain for the cricket team at school level. Led a team of 5 in 2 brand promotion events for AIRCEL CELLULAR.

Absolutely love debating – so much that am sure that India pak probs can be solved if both sides are ready for a debate ;)…. And am a true Indian.. I love cricket, movies and food! J…and music..well am from the land of the Mozart of madras J…need I say more? ..speaking of motherlands (and mothercities eh) all my life I’ve been in Chennai! (now for those of u who think ill be one wrinkled,parched, wasted soul cos of the lack of water and extra heat sorry to disappoint J much more to Chennai than that)…so imagine finally moving away – and that too to Mumbai of all cities…cant wait!...and to all of u there…if theres anyone who can claim to be absolute lazy, with no proper sense of time, cant do without their 40 winks(hmmm say every 8 hrs ;)…) then I tell u this…lets not be roomies…cos then am sure well need more than alarm clocks to wake up…and the load at sp lets not talk about it :)..

I’ve always heard ppl at sp always are amazing not only in terms of their profile but also cos they are good in a lot of varied spheres.. peer groups and interactions within this super set are therefore automatically an awesome experience… see the profiles below, we already have salsa dancers, basketball players, poets dreamers J, management trainees…and so many more to come with more posts… thinking how cool it’ll be to hang around with such a motley mix of ppl for the next 2 years…guys and girls cheers to all…am sure well have a grt time ahead…c u all soon!

I coudlnt get my eyes off the words "absolutely love debating" .... after months of blabbering at work place,I will finally get to meet the 'real debators' on a podium :P
Great profile but what stands out is 97.5% in 12th - i think i must have left out that perentage of questions unattempted,leave alone what other percentage may have gone wrong ....Hats Offff :))

Seeing your academic achievements and 12th score, I dont think you will join me for the special classes

P.S. For the uninitiated, I heard SP conducts spl classes for ppl who score below a certain grade. Dont know whether this will be practised for our batch as well.

@Ishita:
real debators? ha ha now who is that :) am a connoisseur not an expert :) but nothing beats the thrill of going on stage with those omnipresent butterflies and finally crapping big time..coming back and wondering - did i really say that?... now tel me real debators ;)

@KC:
hey bro - band of brothers? am game... motor mouths inc, humpty and dumpty, intel and mental...name doens matter ;)

@Raghu: don count ur chickens before they hatch and looks (read profile) can be deceptive :)

@VARUN: - ah the namesake strikes again! bro - i just heard yday (for the nnnnnnnnnnnth time) that varun is a very common name...sigh hope neither of us come the worser for the nicknames we end up with!..JAM ah jus love that!

Ishita Krishna said...

@varun - Your question to me gets answered by your very own statements :P
Those mini roller coaster rides in one's stomach before stepping on to the stage,those fluent pouring out of words once cast in the right mould infront of the mike (never really knowing if the words are right instead just sensing them flow) and finally the intoxicating thunder of clapping - 10 minutes of pure passion , anyone who can experience all that is a real debator (for me atleast) :P:P:P

varun said...

@ishita:
where oh where in my post have i mentioned thunderous clapping ;)...intoxicating all right but then thats for the real good ones... now i can get it that you are in that mould..hmmm thats cool..amatuers Vs pro's are always good :)

@varun
"Thunderous clapping" may not always hold in its conventional sense,such noises can be and are created (especially for amateurs) by something more dynamic(on the part of audience) than mutual striking of palms :P
Anyways to prevent the conversation from turning into a debate,i would rephrase simply - Great profile and what stands out in it (for me) is your love for debates...;)

varun said...

@Ishita:
ha ha good one... the non mutual and dynamic er..clapping ;) on the part of the audience is more of my type... and thanks - well hold the debates at sp :)
